Location

Our resort, Ravi Yoga Goa, is located on Polem beach in South Goa. Polem beach is a wonderful, quiet beach surrounded by nature, just a 15-20 minute drive from the more touristy beaches of Palolem and Patnem.

Season/opening

We're open from November to May. The resort is closed from June to October for monsoon season.

Goa airports

• Dabolim airport (GOI) is around a 90-minute drive away.
• Manohar/Mopa airport (GOX) is a new airport around 2.5 hours' drive away. 

Flights

From the UK: Air India and TUI airlines offer direct flights from London Gatwick to Mopa airport (GOX). There are multiple flights to Mumbai with lower fares. You can find international flight options from many destinations with a connection via Mumbai or Delhi on British Airways, Air India, Emirates, Qatar and Oman Air. 

Tip: To find a cheaper flight – if you don’t mind a layover where you have to check your luggage in again – it’s worth checking flight prices with the end destination as Mumbai (or Delhi) and booking the flight to Goa separately with a different airline. There are multiple cheap flights every day to Goa.

Visas

A visa is required to enter India. You can apply for an e-Visa here.

Taxis/airport transfers

We can arrange airport transfers for arrival & departure and help with any local taxis you may need.

Safety

We're committed to offering you a safe, encouraging and non-competitive environment. We have security on duty at the resort at night. All rooms have a safety deposit box for your valuables.

Swimming

Polem beach is a wonderful, quiet beach and safe for swimming. There is a lifeguard present on the beach during the day.

Drinking water

Tap water is not safe to drink in India. We have mineral water coolers across the resort where guests can fill glass bottles that are provided in the rooms. We try to avoid plastic bottles for environmental reasons.

Nearby shops, restaurants & ATMs

There's one very small shop on Polem beach that sells snacks, drinks and items like toothpaste. There's one restaurant on Polem beach called Kamaxi.

The nearest ATM is near Chaudi (15-minute drive). For shopping and restaurants, we recommend Palolem or Patnem (15-20 minute drive).

Pharmacies & hospitals

There's a small local hospital 10-15 minutes drive away. Larger hospitals can be found in Margao about 1-hour's drive away (including private hospitals) and the main government hospital GMC with specialised ICU units is further north, around a 90-minute drive away. 

There are pharmacies in Chaudi and Palolem, around 15 minutes drive away. 

Wifi

We have wifi available throughout the resort. The phone network is limited.

Food & dietary requirements

All our food is vegetarian & vegan. We can also accommodate dietary requirements such as gluten free or pure vegan. Please let us know at the time of booking.

Can I run my own yoga retreat at Ravi Yoga Goa?
