Meet your teachers

Ravi Dixit (E-RYT 500)

Ravi was born in India to a family of spiritual teachers. He started his yoga practice at the age of nine, when his grandfather taught him how to chant mantras. In his early twenties he lived at several ashrams in Rishikesh, where he studied Hatha and Ashtanga with Master Yogi-Ji. Some years later, he worked as the resident teacher at one of the top retreat centres in Goa, where he led classes for thousands of students from all over the world.

In 2017 he moved to the UK and quickly became one of London’s most sought after traditional yoga teachers. During the last 15 years, he's been leading workshops, teacher trainings and transformative retreats in the UK, Europe, Asia and India and headlining several UK yoga festivals.

One evening in November 2020, Ravi’s life was turned upside down when he was critically injured in a road accident in Goa and spent over a month in Intensive Care on a ventilator. By grace and miracles he survived and he’s extremely grateful to be given a second life. He feels that the power of yoga played an essential part in his survival and recovery.

"Yoga is not about the perfect pose, it’s about reconnecting with yourself and finding harmony between you and you. This will bring peace and health to your body and mind."

Yoga is in Ravi’s blood. He’s passionately committed to the practice and inspires this sense of commitment in others. His training and teaching qualifications include: Hatha yoga, Ashtanga, Iyengar, pranayama, mantra, Shat Kriya, dynamic meditation, philosophy and yoga alignment.

Ajay Bijalwan (E-RYT 500)

Ajay began his journey as a yoga teacher in Rishikesh in 2010, immersing himself in the ancient practice with a fervour that would shape his life’s work. In 2012, he ventured to China as a guest teacher, expanding his horizons and sharing his expertise with an international audience. Upon returning to India, Ajay continued to share the gift of yoga with his students before receiving an invitation to join the esteemed California Fitness & Yoga center in Vietnam.

For six transformative years, Ajay served as a pillar of the yoga community at California Fitness & Yoga, where he conducted a myriad of master classes and workshops on a diverse range of topics. His dedication to his craft and unwavering commitment to his students earned him widespread admiration and respect.

Ajay’s teaching repertoire spans a multitude of disciplines, including Hatha yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Stretch & Twist, mantra, meditation, pranayama, philosophy, yoga alignment and the Six Cleansing Processes.
